Johnny Taylor

Johnny Taylor was born in New Hampshire, and after his family bounced from one military base to another for several years, he eventually landed in Texas – Beaumont, Texas to be more precise. He graduated from Central High School and eventually attended and graduated from Lamar University.

After obtaining his bachelor’s degree, Mr. Taylor attended Texas Tech University School of Law in Lubbock, Texas, largely as a result of their generous offer of a full scholarship. During his second year of law school, he received an offer to go back and work as an attorney for Offerman & King, L.L.P., the same law firm for which he had clerked as an undergraduate student. At Offerman & King, L.L.P., Johnny received top-notch training and mentoring in all things relating to creditors’ rights law, and, over the next 7 years, he became highly proficient in the representation of banks, credit unions, finance companies, landlords, and local businesses.

In 2011, Mr. Taylor moved to Katy, Texas and started working for Hughes, Watters & Askanase, L.L.P., a large downtown Houston firm. After growing weary of the traffic and commute, in 2014, Mr. Taylor decided that he would start his own solo law practice here in Katy. He still regularly appears in many Houston courts, but finds it’s nice to not have to make that commute on a daily basis.

During his leisure time, Johnny serves as an assistant coach with the Katy Area Wrestling Club, and he also enjoys cooking, fishing, crabbing, and hanging out at the beach with his wife and six children.
