Attorney Profile

JOHNNY TAYLOR

Johnny Taylor obtained his bachelor’s degree from Lamar University, and then attended Texas Tech University School of Law in Lubbock, Texas. During his second year of law school, he received an offer to go back and work as an attorney for Offerman & King, L.L.P., the same law firm for which he had clerked as an undergraduate student. Picture of Johnny Taylor At Offerman & King, L.L.P., Johnny received top-notch training and mentoring in all things relating to creditors’ rights law, and, over the next 7 years, he became highly proficient in the representation of banks, credit unions, finance companies, landlords, and local businesses.

In 2011, Mr. Taylor moved to Katy, Texas and started working for Hughes, Watters & Askanase, L.L.P., a large downtown Houston firm. As many may remember, by 2011, the foreclosure crisis was in full-blown meltdown, and mortgage companies across the country were seeking legal defense against the slew of wrongful foreclosure lawsuits that were sweeping the legal landscape. During his 3 years working at Hughes, Watters & Askanase, L.L.P., Mr. Taylor was promoted to Litigation Supervisor for the firm’s Default Servicing Section, and, as such, he oversaw a vast amount of litigation arising from foreclosures and evictions, as well as assisted in the management of some of the firm’s more challenging foreclosures and evictions.

In 2014, Mr. Taylor started his own solo law practice here in Katy. His practice now focuses on providing affordable and highly effective and zealous representation of banks, credit unions, finance companies, landlords, and businesses of all sizes in state and federal (including bankruptcy) courts across the State of Texas.
